Event Details
Parking and Bethel Commute
There is free-to-you underground parking at the Downtown Hotel. You will have to commute to Bethel each day to attend the Conference. For those who would like to carpool, we can make arrangements.
Conference Schedule
Conference begins Thursday, Feb 16 at 5 p.m.
Conference activities conclude Sunday evening, February 19th.
Stay the night and travel home on the Holiday Monday, Feb. 20th.
Meals and snacks provided by the Bethel URC Ladies Auxiliary.
RYAC Organizers
RYAC is organized by a committee of 7 young adults with assistance and guidance of Pastor Keith Davis and his wife Laura.
The work of the committee as well as the oversight of all funds is the responsibility of the Council and Consistory of Bethel URC Calgary.

The Bethel Deacons supervise the finances of RYAC.
For tax receipts, a cheque can be made out to 'Bethel URC Young Adults Conference'.

All food and snacks are provided and served by Bethel URC and are included in your registration cost.
Remember to bring extra cash for souvenirs, etc. on your Out-Day activity.
Free-Time Activities
We have reserved lots of free-time during the Conference to play Dutch Blitz and other board games and group games. There will also be several organized Ice-Breakers.
Ice-Skating is also an option as there are several Out-Door skating rinks nearby -- so be sure to bring your Ice-Skates and warm clothes!
This year we will be hosting a square dance event.
Hotel Accommodations
Rooms have been reserved at TWO Sandman locations. The Calgary West location is closer to Bethel. The Sandman Signature Downtown is located in downtown Calgary.
A variety of rooms are available -- including King Suites for those who wish to share a room.
Planning to share a room? Have one person reserve the room. When you check out, inform the Hotel staff that you want to divide the room fee.
Check the "potluck" box on your registration form and we will put you in contact with others who want to share a room.
Friday Out-Day Excursion
Mt. Norquay Tubing: $40 additional fee. (Add this to your registration payment at Check-out).
Banff Outing: Free with registration.
Laser Tag: Classified YYC Laser Tag Free with Registration. We are capping this event at 34 people.
RYAC Mission
RYAC is a Christian conference specifically catered to single Young Adults in our Reformed churches. Our goals as a conference is to:

Information
To accommodate a larger group for 2023, we blocked off rooms at two Sandman Hotels.
The Sandman WEST location is closer to the church than the downtown location.
Booking Rooms & Sharing Rooms:
To BOOK your Hotel room: Book online.
Choose your preferred location.
Select the dates you are arriving (checking-in) and leaving (checking-out)
Select your room that best suits your needs.
If you are sharing a room, only one person needs to book the room. You hold the room with a credit card. You will not be charged until the day you check out.
To SHARE a Hotel Room:
Sharing a Hotel room is encouraged. Splitting the cost saves you a lot of money. Depending on the size of the room or suite, up to 4 or 5 people can share a room.
Rev. Keith Giles
Rev. Keith Giles is presently the pastor of the Covenant Reformed Church, Grande Prairie (since January 2022).
He is married to Anne with 3 adult children (Rachel and Jonathan in England and Emma in Northern Ireland). Prior to becoming part of the URCNA, Rev. Giles was a Baptist Pastor for 16 years in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has been involved in a ministry in Romania for over twenty five years, supporting local churches and pastors.

Rev. John van Eyk
Rev. John van Eyk is the father of numerous children, a grandfather of a few grandchildren, and the grateful husband of one wife, Lucy. He has been a Pastor for 27 years, serving previously at the Tain/Fearn Associated Presbyterian Church in Scotland. Rev. van Eyk has pastored the Trinity Reformed Church, in Lethbridge AB for the past 5 1/2 years. Summit has been blessed to have Rev. van Eyk speak at both conferences - the August Summit Reformed Youth Conference, as well as the February Young Adult Conference.
